Acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron’s 3-D sci-fi epic “Avatar” and “Crazy Heart” starring Jeff Bridges were the big winners at the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards Sunday night, with two awards each. “Avatar”, that is still going strong at the international box office with over $1.3 billion in earnings, bagged the best motion picture (drama) award here and also the best director trophy for Cameron.
“Avatar” which stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez and Stephen Lang, beat other nominees “Up In The Air”, “The Hurt Locker”, “Inglourious Basterds” and “Precious” to emerge as the winner in the best film category.
