The film will showcase on how a young Pakistani Muslim’s life changed in New York after 9/11.

Mira wants some intense Muslim actor to play the role of protagonist Changez and talks have that Mira’s favorite Irrfan Khan in on the list. Mira and Irrfan have worked together previously on The Namesake and Kosher Vegetarian. However, it’s also learnt that the American studios are putting pressure to cast some Hollywood actor for the lead role so that the film will get the audience it deserves.

Meanwhile, Mira wants to watch the two films (Karan Johar’s Kurbaan and Kabir Khan’s New York) that Bollywood produced this year which also were based on the theme of terrorism. She wants to check the perspective of other filmmakers on 9/1
